A bridge to Centered Living.

Job Description

Job Type: Part-time independent contractor.
Location: Remote.
Pay: $100 per 90-minute session, plus commission.

The Coach will host live online welcome events for The She Center, introduce guests to our culture and to some of our introductory principles, and invite guests into a free trial of our community.

Our Coach will be comfortable following a script and simultaneously will possess the self-awareness, room-awareness, and coaching skills to know both when it is appropriate to deviate from the script (based on guest interactions) and when/how to steer the conversation back onto script to facilitate the best overall outcome. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience presenting to live audiences (online and/or in-person) and have great stage presence, leadership, charisma, and warmth. We are looking for someone with fantastic command of a room, great time management, high emotional intelligence, and a magnetic personality: a polished professional with an authentic sense of self. We would also love to hear from coaches with an ability to multitask (for example: speak to camera and keep up with chat messages at the same time) on online video chat platforms like Zoom and Discord, proven success in sales/enrollment, and comfort managing large (100+) groups of people.

The Coach may be called upon to host events on video chat or appear on social media and should be comfortable as a public face of The She Center. Therefore, it is especially important that the Coach’s values be aligned with that of The She Center: specifically, our rejection of diet culture, our passion for diversity and inclusion, and our feminist principles.

Team mentality is a must, as are integrity, emotional steadiness, coachability, and a neutral current relationship with food. All members of The She Center team must be self-starters who can initiate and complete tasks on time with self-accountability and must equally be comfortable working collaboratively on projects with teammates. The Coach, in particular, should be comfortable taking feedback and integrating it immediately into the next presentation.

The position is remote; online meetings can be conducted from anywhere in the world, as long as the space offers reliable internet, professional lighting/sound/background, and no distractions. Each presentation/welcome session will last approximately one and a half hours, and the majority of the sessions will take place on weekday evenings (U.S.). The Coach will be expected to host every session, so dependability is a must. The role will start by presenting welcome sessions, using the same script/format every time, but has the potential to grow into more. This truly is a dream job for the right candidate.

  • Availability and dependability for agreed-upon session dates/times (most likely weekday evenings U.S.).
  • Extensive experience speaking to a variety of audiences: both large or small/intimate and live or virtual.
  • Strong leadership, time management, and coaching skills.
  • Polished on-camera presentation skills.
  • Stage presence: credibility, command of the room, and emotional steadiness.
  • The ability to represent The She Center with poise, professionalism, warmth, humor, and authenticity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Host live, one and a half hour-long sessions on Zoom, Discord, or other online platform.
  • Balance a script and in-the-moment facilitation skills to achieve a transformative guest experience every time.
  • Learn the principles of Centered Living (we will train you) and be able to coach guests in these principles at an introductory level.
  • Represent The She Center and contribute to team culture.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Opportunity for Growth

This position has long-term potential for the right candidate to grow into more coaching opportunities at The She Center, including 1-on-1 asynchronous coaching. Full training and ongoing support will be provided. Previous coaching experience (life, executive, personal, etc.) is preferred but not a requirement.

To apply, send the following to info@theshecenter.org with the subject line “Coach: [Your Name]:”

  • Your resume.
  • A short video (under 2 minutes) explaining:
    • Your performance, presentation, and/or coaching experience.
    • Why you are excited to represent The She Center and Lydia Knight in particular.
    • What sets you apart from other candidates.
  • A presentation audition using the attached script, recorded in the physical space and with the equipment you intend to use as Coach.

Successful candidates will be contacted for an interview. Please do not attempt to follow up through other channels.
