Job Description


Job Type: Part-time independent contractor with flexible hours, potential to increase to full-time.
Location: Remote.
Pay: Commensurate with experience.


The Social Media Manager will build community externally through social media and internally within our client community.

The ideal candidate will have proven success sharing brand messages and activating sales across multiple platforms, including: Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Instagram. We are looking for a storyteller who is equally comfortable with video, images, audio, and text. Marketing experience, out-of-the-box thinking, and a proactive, entrepreneurial attitude toward PR are welcome. We expect our Manager to maintain a growth mindset and to stay abreast of social media trends, changing industry standards, and best practices as they evolve.

The successful candidate will also have a passion for community management. They may be called upon to host events on video chat or appear on social media and should be comfortable as a public face of The She Center.

The Social Media Manager will be part of the Operations team and will be expected to assist Ops with other projects as needed. Team mentality is a must (we are not looking for those wishing to build their own businesses), as are integrity, emotional steadiness, coachability, and a neutral current relationship with food. All members of The She Center team must be self-starters who can initiate and complete tasks on time with self-accountability and must equally be comfortable working collaboratively on projects with teammates.

The position is remote; Zoom meetings with the team can be conducted from anywhere in the world, as long as the space offers reliable internet and no distractions. Hours are flexible, within reasonable parameters. This truly is a dream job for the right candidate. 


  • Proven success in and passion for social media.
  • Strong communication skills: written, visual, interpersonal, and on-camera.
  • An aptitude for marketing, graphic design, video/audio editing, copywriting, and proofreading.
  • Proven success in growing online communities.
  • Ability to represent oneself, company leaders, and the company with equal comfort, professionalism, and warmth.
  • Ability to work both solo and as part of a team.
  • Facility with technology, including: Zoom, Discord, Google suite, video- and photo-editing software, Canva, social media platforms, etc.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule social media posts; and actively contribute to overarching social media strategy.
  • Represent the company through written communication (social media posts, replies, email, etc.) with warmth, care, impeccable grammar, and the company voice.
  • Design visuals and edit videos for social media, the public website, the membership portal, and print/PDF products as needed, while adhering to company branding and utilizing excellent visual storytelling.
  • Facilitate engagement by replying to social media replies, generating activity in the community portal, hosting and assisting at live/online events, etc.
  • Generate collaboration opportunities with media outlets, influencers, etc.
  • Assist community with basic tech support.
  • Upload videos/audio of community events for playback.
  • Other duties as assigned.
