The She Center Conducts Leadership Training for The Play Therapy Institute of NM

Play therapy is a proven, healing intervention that allows children to express themselves, process emotions, and build resilience. With the essential work that the The Play Therapy institute is providing, they brought in Executive Coach Lydia Knight to explore opportunities and create strategy.

Knight met with the leadership team to support them through a framework for finding key solutions:

1. Gain clarity on challenges, opportunities, and available data. It’s supportive to have a facilitated discussion because leadership teams we have varied perspectives on each area.
2. Examine the mindset around each area: What beliefs, perceived limitations, and stories are associated with each area?
3. Get organized: Decide on key areas of focus and create a timeline with action items. Be sure that each item has a clear owner.
4. Shift patterns: Our brain can reveal more effective strategies when we are out of our usual routine. We looked at the current system and found opportunities that would serve everyone better in the areas of fun, creativity, and time management.
